Morocco represents an intriguing blend of ancient traditions and modern luxury, where centuries of multicultural influences have created a fascinating destination.
Culturally, Morocco is a mosaic of Berber, Arab, African, and French traditions, which are reflected in the architecture, cuisine, and rhythm of daily life. Islamic heritage profoundly shapes its social fabric, evident in its stunning architecture, intricate craftsmanship, and warm hospitality.

Moroccan gastronomy is one of the world’s most complex—think fragrant slow-cooked tagines, couscous piled high with roasted vegetables, spice markets bursting with cumin, saffron, and paprika, and mint tea poured from a height to aerate its sweetness.
With world-class artisans, sweeping desert dunes, and the dramatic Atlas Mountains, Morocco offers an ideal backdrop for a 10-day journey of luxury and discovery.

Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city and represents Morocco’s cosmopolitan heartbeat, blending French colonial architecture with contemporary Islamic design. Unlike traditional Moroccan cities, Casablanca emerged as a strategic port city, transforming from a small Berber settlement to North Africa’s economic powerhouse.

Fes, founded in 789 AD, represents the intellectual and cultural soul of Morocco. As the country’s former capital, it’s home to the world’s oldest continuously operating university and a UNESCO World Heritage medina.
• Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Medina, a medieval maze of narrow lanes filled with narrow lanes filled with tanneries, madrassas, and souks.
• Stay in a luxury riad in a restored palace, offering an intimate way to experience the city. Artisan workshops and traditional craftsmanship experiences
• A guided food tour here brings out the best of Morocco’s culinary traditions.

If time allows, Journey toward the Sahara and into the High Atlas, stopping along the way at kasbahs and oases. Just a short drive from Marrakech, you’ll find traditional Berber villages, dramatic mountain scenery, and luxurious kasbah hotels.

Spend two nights in a luxury desert camp—think fine linens, candlelit dinners under the stars, camel rides across dunes, and sunrise views that feel otherworldly. If time is tight, consider the closer Agafay Desert near Marrakech, which offers a similar experience without the long transfer. I spent three nights at Caravan by Habitas in the Agafay Desert just outside the city. Days were filled with desert adventures—camel rides, quad biking, morning yoga sessions, and even planting an olive tree.

Marrakech is Morocco’s showpiece: a city of gardens, palaces, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. On my recent visit, after attending a four-day travel conference in the city, I hired a private guide who walked me through the Medina, explaining its history, pointing out the Koutoubia Mosque (buildings in town are not allowed to be taller), and—perhaps most importantly—helping me haggle with merchants in the souk. It was equal parts cultural immersion and practical insider access.

When it comes to accommodations, travelers have two choices: big-name luxury hotels outside the Medina, offering resort-style amenities and quiet, or staying in a riad inside the Medina itself. Riads, often former family mansions, provide an atmospheric experience—courtyards tiled in zellige, intimate dining, and the sounds of the city just beyond the walls. It’s the difference between retreating from Marrakech and living it.
